One Track, Three Winners!
Fri, Mar 13, 2026
It was a day to remember for the Champion stable at Wagga on Thursday, teaming up with Seib Racing to produce the rare feat of three winners from as many runners on the program.
The tone was set early by the well-bred Wear The Crown, who resumed in style with a sharp victory over 1000 metres in a Country Class 1. The daughter of I Am Invincible showed plenty of dash fresh, collecting just over $20,000 for connections thanks to the lucrative BOBS bonus. Thursday’s win was the second of her career from just three starts, and the progressive filly looks to have a bright campaign ahead.
The next to strike was the diminutive but determined Dunna Runna, who relished stepping out to a mile for the first time. The son of Dundeel has been something of a work in progress while learning to settle at shorter trips, but the move to 1600 metres proved the key as he produced a strong performance that hinted at genuine middle-distance potential.
Completing the hat-trick was Spread The Love, who bounced back from a luckless first-up run in the Canberra Guineas Prelude to score a determined win over 1400 metres. The striking son of Contributer has now recorded two wins from just four starts and has already returned $39,950 in prizemoney for connections, comfortably eclipsing his $30,000 purchase price. Connections are now weighing up a possible back-up in the $80,000 Albury Guineas during next Friday’s carnival.
Credit goes to trainer Danielle Seib and her team for presenting the trio in excellent order, while leading NSW jockey Pierre Boudvillain was in the saddle for all three victories to cap a memorable afternoon for the stable and its owners.
