What is the 1in5 club?

The 1 in 5 club is a very limited offer, with just 10 spaces available. The 1 in 5 club gives each shareholder a 1% share in the first 5 horses Champion purchases in 2023 (1% in each horse). This provides each shareholder with the excitement of following and having an interest in 5 horses during the course of their racing career.

How to get involved?

FAQ

Will I be entitled to race day ticketing?

5% and 10% shareholders will get priority with race day ticketing, however unless your horse is running on a major carnival day, there should be no issues in obtaining enclosure tickets. Race clubs are very accommodating when requesting additional tickets and it is rare that 100% of the ownership group turns up on race day.

Are there any additional costs involved in the 1in5 club?

No! The management fee remains the same and monthly expenses for each horse will be invoiced as per the usual process.

Why have Champion introduced the 1in5 club?

In 2018, we saw a demand for smaller shares being purchased. As we only charge one management fee, regardless of how many horses you own with Champion, this gives shareholders 5 times the enjoyment for the cost of a normal 5% share. Allowing only 10 people to get involved keeps the concept exclusive and the number of owners in the ownership lower.
