Weekend Double For The Fillies
Pictured: Threefold winning at Nowra on Sunday

Derby Day weekend was a thrilling one for the team as two promising three-year-old fillies, both under the expert guidance of trainer Danielle Seib, claimed impressive wins.

The first triumph belonged to Magic Forest (Magna Grecia x Forest Circle), a half-sister to our stakes-placed Hell I Am. On just her second career start, Magic Forest shone in the $50,000 Super Maiden over 1000m at Dubbo. Guided to perfection by top Western Districts jockey Matthew Cahill, she broke from barrier 3 and settled beautifully in the box seat. Coming into the turn, Cahill seized his chance up the rail, steering Magic Forest to a decisive 0.81L win over the well-backed favorite, Taipan Legend. Remarkably, she clocked a faster time than the 1000m Benchmark 66 on the same day, showcasing her potential.

We extend our warmest congratulations to her ownership team: Mr. N R Blizard, Mr. S J Brown, Mr. J G Codner, Dalanna Bloodstock, Dream Team syndicate, Mrs. D L Fisher, Mr. T S Fisher, J E Abrahams Pty Ltd, Mr. W S Simpson, Thug Thoroughbreds syndicate, Mr. J J Dudley, Champion Thoroughbreds 1 syndicate, Mr. K J Thurkettle, Mr. G Seto, and the Beams syndicate.

On Sunday, the Champion Ladies Silks were in full flight, with Threefold taking out the Country Boosted 1100m Maiden. Her two runs this preparation indicated a win was around the corner and she delivered on that inkling at Nowra. The gorgeous all black daughter of Yes Yes Yes made every post a winner when jumping from barrier 4, staving off her rivals for a 0.2L victory with Alysha Collett in the saddle, making the win an all ladies affair.

Congratulations to her great group of all female owners Mrs J Roth, Mrs N Roth, Wine and Five, Mrs M R Laukka, Mrs S J Codner, Mrs M M Bailey, Miss R A Stafford, Mrs L Miller, Mrs E A O'Neill, Mrs K L Stafford, Ms P Y Tam, Mrs M Perez, Mrs S Seymour, Mrs L R Lord.
