Snitzel Colt Snapped Up At Magic Millions

We've walked away from Day 1 of the Magic Millions sale with a spring in our step after securing Lot 89- a lovely Snitzel colt out of Group 2 winning mare Reelem In Ruby for $160,000.

Opening day of the sale proved competitive buying with the average reaching $281,767 and a clearance rate of 84.90% at the conclusion of Day 1.

THE SIRE

Standing for a fee of $247,500 at Arrowfield Stud this season, Snitzel has been crowned Champion sire of Australia on 4 occasions. A sire of champions, his impressive list of top progeny include Trapeze Artist, Redzel, Russian Revolution, Shamus Award, Sweet Idea, Snitzerland, I Am Excited, Estijaab, Away Game, Shinzo and many, many more.

THE DAM

This colt is the first foal out of Group 2 winner Reelem In Ruby (Pierro) who had an impressive race record of 4 wins and 7 placings from 19 career starts and over $500k in prizemoney. She was sold as broodmare to Yulong Stud for $950,000 in 2022.

Neat colt who has a strong sprinting physique. Good moving type with a straight forward attitude. Low risk on X-ray and passed scope. Super value off pedigree and physical.
