Midnight Reigns

"By Danehill's Best Son"
2yo in the making!
This lovely Magic Millions Sale filly, selected by John, is by Danehill's best ever 2YO (as rated by Timeform), the dual Gr 1 winner Holy Roman Emperor (IRE). Holy Roman Emperor hails from an exceptional family which includes Champion sires Encosta De Lago and Flying Spur and he was the leading first season sire at the Magic Millions averaging over $105,000.

She is from the Snippets mare, Forever Midnight, and comes from a good running family which includes exciting 3YO Silver Spur. The Danehill/Snippets cross has proved extremely successful producing Gr 1 winners and now sires, Snitzel and Magnus.

This filly was raised and sold by one of Australia's most successful studs, Yarraman Park. Recent outstanding racehorses raised at this famous nursery have been Rewaaya, Snitzel and Amelia's Dream.

John O'Shea picked this filly out as a likely contender to be able to run early and thinks she is the ideal 2YO type to make the Magic Millions race. She is by a 2YO Gr 1 winning son of Danehill and it is these speed sons who have proved the most successful at Stud ie Danehill Dancer, Redoute's Choice, Flying Spur and Rock of Gibraltar.

She has been broken in and is currently back in pretraining after enjoying a couple of weeks at John's stable as well as a good break in the paddock.  John was very happy with the way she settled in to stable life, she worked around lovely and did everything right.  She will return to the stable in August to prepare for the Spring. In her first 6 weeks out she has put on 31kg in weight, so she is doing very well.
