This Magic Millions sale colt, selected by John, is by Champion sire More Than Ready, the sire of the last 2 Golden Slipper winners and 2 recent Magic Millions winners.  More Than Ready has been Champion Australian 2YO sire twice and has sired 6 Australian Gr 1 winners including Sebring, More Joyous and Phelan Ready.  He has an extremely high winners/runners ratio, currently arround 68%.  More Than Ready stood at a fee of $135,000 plus GST in 2009.  His yearlings at the recent Magic Millions averaged $164,565 for 23 sold.

He is the first foal of Artistique, a most consistant mare trained by John O'Shea who didn't miss a place in her first 15 starts.  She was the winner of 4 races, including 3 in Sydney, and was beaten less than a length when she ran 4th in the Gr 2 MVRC Sunline Stakes.  Artistique comes from a prolific black type winning family and is half sister to the stakes winners Chiming Lass and Winona and closely related to Sovereign State, Deuxieme and Promoted.

This colt was raised and sold by one of the Hunter Valley's most respected and successful studs.  Edinglassie has produced Gr 1 winners Wonderful World, Nadeem, God's Own and Bentley Biscuit.

He has just finished a preparation and is going well. He has grown substantially since he was purchased and we anticipate having him ready for racing over the summer.
