The Spring Competition was a cracker with the leader changing hands on a week to week basis and with a number of outsiders collecting the prize in the all important Group 1’s, it kept everyone in the competition with a winning chance until the final round. The competition has been running for about 6 years now and gets more exciting each year.

This season the competition will run through till Sydney Cup weekend in April, so it will be an exciting carnival for participants.

$100 entry covers the whole competition and up for grabs will be cash and gift vouchers of approximately $8,000 to be split among the first 3 placegetters. We are hoping to get between 80-100 participants.

Players are asked to make a selection in each of the Stakes races in Sydney and Melbourne for the weekend, with differing fictitious bets depending on the grade of the race. For example a
Gr 1 race is $50 EW or $100 WIN ONLY,
Gr 2’s are $30 EW,
Gr 3’s are $20 EW, and
Listed races are $10 EW.

The website via “Tipping Comp” has all the race fields listed and all you need to do is tick a box corresponding to your selection. Early the following week, the results are published on the site, and an email outlining the weekends rising stars and fallen angels is sent to players. You will also receive a reminder later in the week of the upcoming races for the weekend, and as long as you have submitted your tips 1 hour prior to the running of the first race on the tipping sheet, you are good to go!
