Carmine King at "Peak of Fitness" for Tomorrow's Race
Tuesday, January 31, 2012
Coming off the back of a win over 1200m on Gosford Gold Cup Day,
Carmine King's preparation, so far, has led him to the peak of his fitness for tomorrows event at Kembla Grange.
Starting in the 1200m Provincial Bowl at Kembla Grange tomorrow, a transferred Randwick meeting, trainer
John O'Shea couldn't be more satisfied with the horse's recent performance at trackwork coming into the race. "
Carmine King is at the peak of his fitness for this preparation and should be very competitive in tomorrow's race. He's down in the weights and will have 3kg claiming apprentice
Sam Clipperton on board, bringing the weight carried down to 54kg. Plus he'll appreciate the bigger track that Kembla offers. With all things considered, the horse should perform well tomorrow," commented
O'Shea.
Sam Clipperton piloted
Carmine King in his last start win and we couldn't have wished for a better ride. The young apprentice has been riding extremely well lately recording two wins at a recent Rosehill meeting among many other encouraging results.
Carmine King has been working well of late and has improved since his latest start. He's looking the picture of health and fitness (pictured below winning at Gosford's twilight meeting courtesy of
Bradleyphotos.com.au). We're hoping that this run will be the second win of this preparation, and the third of his soon-to-be ninth career start. Having only been placed lower than fourth once, we're very fond of our consistent son of
Commands, as are his owners.
Good luck to all connections heading in to his next race.
