Renediym is a daughter of General Nediym from the good producing mare, Lochrene (by Sir Tristram). She is a half sister to the stakes winners Rezone and Danyon and the stakes placegetter Maggie. This is also the family of Gr 1 VRC Derby winner Haymaker. Renediym was selected for the syndicate by bloodstock agent Vin Cox.

Renediym has returned to the stable for her current preparation in the best condition she ever has, which will hopefully hold her in good stead for the future. She is in tremendous order and has been taken along with long and steady work. She has trialled twice over 740m and 900m before she was sent to Canberra for her first start this preparation. She ran 4th in the race ridden by Tim Clark carrying 58kg. Not being an overly big filly, this was a fair effort.

Renediym had a confidence boosting win at Muswellbrook on 22 January in a 1450 Mdn, before running 4th at Gosford over 1600m.  Her next assignment was at Goulburn, where she ran 5th over the mile again. She had had 5 starts now for a win and a 3rd, however the syndicate of owners have agreed to sell at the Magic Millions sale in June.
