Improving Hussonet filly with ability
Perfect Hussey has always shown ability and is slowly taking shape. Her sire Hussonet is the sire of champion galloper Weekend Hussler.

She kicked off her career at Kembla Grange in a 1200m Maiden on 24 October. After drawing the outside barrier, she had no option than to settle back in the field and it was very hard to make up ground from there.

She returned to the same track, 3 weeks later, for her next start over 1300m. She finished 5th in a field of 13 in what was a most improved effort which is what John was looking for.

Her next start was at Gosford on the 12th December in a maiden where she ran a great 2nd to My Best Choice, when ridden by Corey Brown. Once again coming from an outside gate she worked hard and ran a truly honest race with the addition of blinkers. She was then spelled and although a win eluded her in her first racing preparation, the writing is on the wall for this filly to take the next step in her coming campaign and her owns should be excited with what is in store in the coming months for her.

She returned to the stable in late January and looks particularly well. She has grown slightly and strengthened up considerably, which will hopefully hold her in good stead this time in. Perfect Hussey has been pleasing John in her work and trialled on 12th April where she won by 4L. She had one race in May where she finished down the track on an unsuitable Newcastle surface but subsequent to this has injured herself forcing a break. Hopefully she can return in August to the stable for another preparation.
