Pedigree Update For Peltzer Colt Purchased From Magic Millions

The half-sister to the Peltzer x My Obsession colt that we purchased from the Magic Millions sale last month took out the Group 3 Bellmaine Stakes at Caulfield on Saturday. Vagrant (Pariah) is the second foal out of My Obsession and Saturday's stakes win took the 4YO mare's earnings to over $320,000 from 16 starts.
It was a dominant 1.25L win over the 1200m for Jockey Beau Merterns who has partnered the mare at her last three consecutive wins. She was last in the running and weaved her way up the inside off a hot tempo for an impressive performance.
“She’s a very gritty mare. She loves winning, she’s very determined and you can’t teach that.” trainer Mitchell Freedman described the victory to media on Saturday.
It was a timely update for the Peltzer colt whom we purchased at last months Magic Millions yearling sale for a very reasonable $80,000. He is going to develop into a lovely 3YO Classic type in time and looks well placed with Michael Freedman at Randwick. His dam, has now produced two runners for a Group 3 winner (Vagrant) and two time winner Black Orlov (Pride Of Dubai)- both horses based in Victoria.
