Quality Snitzel Filly Joins Champion Team From Inglis Easter Sale

In what has been a great year of quality purchases for Champion Thoroughbreds, the team was again strengthened with the purchase of Lot 242 from the Inglis Easter Sales-a dashing filly by Australia's leading sire SNITZEL out of the Dehere mare MISS STELLABELLE. This filly is the second foal out of the Group 3 & Listed winning mare, her first foal, a Redoute's Choice colt named Bucephalus was retained by Segenhoe Stud and is currently in training with Team Hawkes. Her dam foaled a Not A Single Doubt filly last year before returning to Snitzel.

Miss Stellabelle was a quality galloper, she had 28 career starts for 3 wins including the MRVC G3 Champagne Stakes and the Listed Mona Lisa Stakes and placing a further 9 times in listed and group company for earnings f over $430,000.

Bred on the same cross as Chauffeur, this filly was branded 'absolute value' by trainer John O'Shea after the purchase. "It's a real buyers market at the Inglis Easter Sales this year- the depth of the pedigrees on offer are second to none and that is evident with the $250k we paid for this lovely filly, I couldn't be happier to have her in my stable".

Snitzel continues to cement himself as Australia's most in demand sire. Following Day 2 of the Easter Sale, his yearlings were making an average of $522,963 with his top lot selling for a staggering $1,500,000. Snitzel's progeny have continued to dominate the race track with Trapeze Artist and Redzel running first and second in the T.J Smith on the weekend and Estijaab taking out the Golden Slipper last month. These horses join a long list of Group 1 winning Snitzel's including Russian Revolution, Shamus Award, Sizzling & Snitzerland.
