Champion Thoroughbreds are excited to welcome a quality Snitzel filly to our 2018 crop of yearlings. John O’Shea secured the Chestnut beauty after she passed in for $250,000 at the recent Inglis Easter Sales. “I really love this filly and I got in touch with Arrowfield Stud immediately after she passed in at Easter and after a week or so we finally got the deal done for $200,000” commented John O’Shea. “She provides Champion Thoroughbreds and their owners the opportunity to race a quality filly at the lower end of the price spectrum with Snitzel’s averaging close to $530,000 at this year’s Easter sale”.

This filly is the second foal out of stakes winning USA mare SENATOR BECK (by Artie Schiller). Her first foal is an unraced colt named POPULIST (Not A Single Doubt) who was retained by Arrowfield Stud to race. Senator Beck was again served by Not A Single Doubt last year and is believed to be in foal.

“She’s got a lot of substance to her, good length and lovely action”. Jason Abrahams commented after the sale was finalised. “She’s a filly who looks like she’ll get a mile given her mother was a winner over 1600m, we’re really pleased to be offering her to owners”.

Snitzel needs no introduction, not only are his sale prices skyrocketing, his progeny continue to dominate on the racetrack cementing him as the the current leading general, two year old and three year old sire. He currently has the two favourites predicted to fight out the $13M Everest in Redzel and Trapeze Artist who join his long list of Group 1 winners including Russian Revolution, Shamus Award, Snitzerland and Sizzling.

Arrowfield Stud announced last month that Snitzel would stand at a service fee of $220,000 in 2018.
