A top-class sprinter/miler on the top and a classic pedigree underneath, that’s Champion Thoroughbreds’ son of All American.

By the extremely successful international sire, Red Ransom, All American earned grade one honours when defeating the formidable So You Think to capture the VRC Emirates Stakes (gr. I). In addition to being one of the top sprinter/milers of his crop, All American was also a standout at two, taking the MVRC St. Albans Stakes and the AJC Skyline Stakes (gr. III), and running second to Reaan in the MRC Blue Diamond Stakes (gr. I).

This colt is the second foal of his dam, Honor Net. She is by Champion Sire Hussonet, a stallion whose daughters have already produced nine grade one winners. A sprint winner, Honor Net demonstrated her class with an excellent third in the Keith F. Nolan Classic (gr. III) on her stakes debut. Honor Net’s dam, Honor Lap, demonstrated herself to be a filly of exceptional talent, capturing the West Australian Oaks (gr. II), and then completing a classic double by defeating colts for the WATC Derby (gr. I).

President’s Pearl, the dam of Honor Lap, is a sister to black-type placed Spanish Gem, and half-sister to Let’s Cut Loose, an 11-time winner who also took second in the VATC Vic Health Cup (gr. I) and third in the VATC Caulfield Guineas (gr. I). President’s Pearl is out of black-type placed Pokeno Pearl, a half-sister to Clan O’Sullivan, who earned recognition as the top colt on the Australasian Two-Year-Old Classification after a season in which he won eight races, including the GCTC Magic Millions Two-Year-Old Classic, STC Todman Slipper Trial (gr. II) and ATC RC Black Opal Stakes (gr. II), and ran a very close second in the Golden Slipper (gr. I). Pokeno Pearl is also half-sister to Burning Embers, successful in the MRVC Diamond Jubilee Stakes (gr. II) and VATC Eclipse Stakes (gr. III), and is out of the graded stakes winning and grade one placed Blazing Bags.

The cross that produced this colt, that of Red Ransom and his sons with mares by Mr. Prospector line stallions has been a prolific one, producing 26 stakes winners, 11 of them graded winners.
