This filly's sire needs absolutely no introduction in Australia or the USA. More Than Ready topped the Australian Two Year Old Sire rankings in the 07/08 and 08/09 seasons and was the Champion Two Year Old Sire of the USA in 2010. Rarely does a stallion kick goals in both hemispheres enough to crown him a Duel Hemisphere Champion Sire. Think Golden Slipper winners Sebring and Phelan Ready and Champion Older Mare (miler) More Joyous, who has won a very enviable five Group 1 races, not to mention 2012 Golden Slipper favourite, Samaready, and you're thinking More Than Ready stock.

John and Jason's favourite stallion is Zabeel, a stallion with which the pair has had plenty of success in the past, with the likes of Jessicabeel and Zabrasive, to name a few. Zabeel has now reached the age of 24 and his progeny numbers are now limited causing them to sky-rocket in price. This led us to begin seeking the progeny of Zabeel's daughters, and we know that they're successful.

He has produced the likes of up-coming sire Darci Brahma, Samantha Miss and Faint Perfume, and more recently, top fillies Atlantic Jewel and Southern Speed through is daughters, to name just a few. In fact, Southern Speed is bred on exactly the same cross as this filly, being out of a Zabeel mare by a Southern Halo line stallion.

Jason Abrahams commented, "This filly is exactly the type of filly we want in our stable. She is out of a Zabeel mare from a family absolutely littered with Group class fillies, and is by a champion sire."

Her dam, Torlundy, has top athletes in her immediate family. She's the daughter of New Zealand Filly Of The Year, Tartan Tights, who won the Group 1 New Zealand Guineas and the Group 1 ARC Championship Stakes. Torlundy is a half-sister to Group 2 Chelmsford Stakes winner, Nevis, who also ran second in the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas, an outstanding feat for a filly and a race that Champion Thoroughbreds holds close to its heart, it's where we hooked our first Group 1 win, with Zabrasive.

Torlundy's female family has five stakes-winners in the first three dams, a real indicator of how strong the females of this family are.

John and Jason have had a lot of success selecting horses on physical type, and this filly is no exception.
