This filly is by champion 2yo sire More Than Ready out of a Group 2 winner in Chile, Wild Storm, sired by Hussonet, sire of Weekend Hussler, who is making his mark on the broodmare sire ranks in the Americas and looks to have the making's of a top broodmare sire here in Australia.

She is named after her mother, Wild Storm, if you have an Italian background you probably would have already worked it out, but for the rest of us Furiosa means furious.

In her first prep, Furiosa trialled at an early set of 2yo trials at Canterbury showing a lot of promise by running fourth in the fastest trial of its kind that day. She had a little break after this and further grew and gained plenty of condition polishing into an outstanding looking 2yo.

She came back into the stable following this break and made significant progress in her work, though she indicated that she would a little more time before her next trial so we have tipped her out for another month.

She has now returned back into work after some time at the pre-trainers where she earned herself favouritism with the pre-trainer/rider. She has settled back into the stable and we will continue with her conditioning work.

The full-sister recently went through the sale ring at Inglis over Easter and was knocked down to John O'Shea for a whopping $280,000. He must have an opinion of her!
