"Very attractive, loose walking filly who won her debut pocketing $220k"
This beautiful General Nediym filly is from the final crop of her sire. She was purchased at the 2011 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast and is going to be set for the rich Magic Millions race series.

She has a major shareholder being the TAB's Number One Club and was the subject horse for a naming competition on Sky Sports Radio as well as Sky Channel throughout the month of August, after an issue with the selected name we have come to the agreement and have graced this filly with a name, Hoss Amor, keeping in theme with the competition winners first choice.

There's a wonderful group of owners in her stretching the length of the Australian eastern seaboard so we are sure there will be plenty of new friends being made throughout the career of this wonderful filly.

On the 6th of December, having been familiarised with the barriers and jump out process, Hoss Amor trialled at Rosehill. She jumped quickly with the leaders and had a look around for the first half of the race sitting midfield, Jockey Christian Reith got her mind on the job with a tap of the whip at the bend where she displayed a brilliant turn of foot to fly past some of her rivals and finish in fourth position! She was relaxed and professional pre and post-trial. We couldn't be happier with her.

Her first start was a complete success. She was accepted into the Magic Millions Wyong 2yo Classic race over 1100m and worth $200,000 - $130,000 of which to the owner with a further $20,000 BOBS Bonus - and we won it! Brenton Avdulla had the ride and had her placed mid-field. Towards the line gave her a couple of taps and she sprang tackling Hidden Warrior on the line to clinch victory for her upwards of 30 connections. Click here to watch the replay of her classy win.

We then contested the $2,000,000 Magic Millions Class 2yo Classic on the Gold Coast, she ran a gallant 7th from a wide gate, making up plenty of ground in the final stages having only defeated by 4 lengths by the (eventual) winner! We were extremely proud of her effort.

Hoss Amor had a 5 week spell following this run and is now back in the stable, looking fantastic. She's had a trial at Randwick, winning by half a length, she'll then had her second trial and having sat at the tail of the field, worked outstandingly well to loom up on the leaders. She then headed to the Gold Coast where the plan was to have her in the Listed Ken Russell Memorial (1200m) on the Gold Coast, unfortunately it was just to heavy a track to run her on, keeping in mind that we wanted a nice long prep for her.

We ended up nominating and accepting for the Listed over 1200m a week later at Doomben on BTC Cup day. She was narrowly defeated into second position (having lead the field) by rank outsider Noogoora Burr. We were extremely happy with the filly's run and are aiming at having her back at Doomben on a fortnight to contest a 1350m race, with the T.J.Smith in view.
